Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the Yoga session?
Angela DeMichele, RYT 200-HR, will teach a 45 minute Gentle Yoga class, followed by 15 minutes of goat cuddles & selfies!
Why practice Yoga with goats?
Think of it as a combination of animal therapy, movement and relaxation. It helps create peace and tranquility, a perfect combination for both soul and mind.
What are the benefits?
Stress reduction, anxiety relief, mood enhancement, improved flexibility, exercise, pain relief, positivity, improved sleep and breathing! We love seeing animal lovers and yogis come together for endless smiles!
Do the goats enjoy participating?
Of all farm animals, goats are some of the most carefree and happy. The goats are trained to be around humans, and humans, likewise, receive instruction on how to stay safe and treat the goats carefully and with respect.
What should I wear to Goat Yoga?
Wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in. You may want to avoid loose, flowing clothes as the goats may grab on to them with their mouths. It is suggested that long hair is in a ponytail (they love to chew!).
We recommend you wear closed-toe shoes to protect your feet from the goats’ hooves. Bring a towel with your yoga mat. Please remember, these are animals and they may have unexpected occurrences that sometimes happen when furry friends are around (aka poop & pee).
Who can attend?
This session is for all yoga levels. Modifications can be made for any movement/posture. No yoga experience necessary. For this event, we prefer children that attend the Yoga session be at least 12+ years of age, due to the nature of the class and instruction of care needed from humans to our beloved pets. Every child is different so please feel free to reach out to see if it’s a good fit for your child(ren).
Is there a refund policy?
All tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend class because you are sick, are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or have been exposed to COVID-19, please contact us at mafarmmn@gmail.com and your ticket will be refunded.
In the rare occasion of a severe or inclement weather that interferes with holding a session, we will contact scheduled participants (individuals who purchased tickets) the morning of the class to notify of program cancellation. If you are not contacted, please assume that the class will take place. Cancelled classes will be rescheduled for a different date.
All information is subject to change.
